Are You Positive?

we all know the saying: “assuming makes an A_ _ out of U and ME“ well, i think it’s safe to assume most of us do it anyway. so i pose a challenge:
If you’re going to assume, try assuming the positive.

i love positive people and want to surround myself with others who can find the silver lining. it’s only when we think positively and try to spread peace instead of adding to the chaos of the situation that we’ll find true peace and happiness within ourselves.

every Action has a Consequence, it’s our Beliefs that dictate whether the consequence is positive or negative! (A+B=C)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness. Psalm 89:15-16

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

Like Me

if you’re anything like me, your feelings have the potential of changing in an instant. whether it’s from shear joy to complete sadness or laughter to anger back to laughter again, we humans need to be sure to keep ourselves in check when it comes to our emotions. i’m not saying emotions are bad, because they, in fact, are an integral part of what makes us, us. but they are not too helpful when trying to make wise decisions. although feelings can be a contributing factor decisions should never be based solely on a feeling.

i am so glad i serve a Savior who is Stable, Never Changing, Patient, Full of nothing but Love and Always ready to Help His children!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments,
Daniel 9:4

#same

the bible says He never changes, it does not say the times never change. He is consistent. He will always be the same loving, stable, present, strong, perfect, attentive, joy-providing, complete, all-sufficient, grace-granting, peace-giving Father He always has been.

Thank you Lord for always being You in anything we come up against!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16:33 AMP

What Did That Say?

this morning i read the following sentence incorrectly:
“we need to guard our thoughts by focusing our attention on things that honor God.”

i read:
we need to guard our thoughts by focusing our attention on things that need God.

although the first is obviously true, what i read got me thinking;
we need to do things out of our comfort zone. when we do this, we show we need Him and His power is professed. we glorify Him by moving outside of ourselves and tapping into His strength!

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13

Not Him

remember He isn’t the one who moves. when we wander we are the ones who lose Him. He has a much higher perspective and always knows right where we are! Lord help me to stay on Your path. it is there where i will find true happiness. i trust You!

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm‬ ‭9:10‬

Everyone Wins

can we all just get along? thank you Shel Silverstein for this wonderfully simple poem.

when we peel away all the layers, we are all the same. when you subtract whatever tribe we call ourselves a part of, there is no difference.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” ‭‭John‬ ‭13:34‬

Let the Music Play

i love it when a song gets stuck in my head that is actually helpful and i know the lyrics to. i left church yesterday with this song resounding in my ears and have woken up with echos in head.

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You

Every hour I need You

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need You

Lord, You are all i need! everything else is gravy! thank you!

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, Ephesians 3:20

Today Only

these days, we tend to look so much at our future that we overlook what the Lord sets before us today.

the other day i was speaking to a friend who “one day wants to inspire others” in her field. she was saying as long as that was what she ended up doing, she’d be satisfied with her career. i simply said to her “if you inspire someone today, you’ll inspire someone forever.” i truly felt the Lord had used me to speak to her, as she was stunned by the simple yet profound concept.

isn’t this true for all we do?
* fulfill your purpose today, and you’ll fulfill it forever.
* do His will today, and you’ll do it forever
* do [you fill in the blank] today and you’ll do “it” forever.

live for today, until tomorrow becomes today, then do it all over again!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬

mug lesson

thank you Lord for being my strength no matter where i find myself! help me to walk the path and live the purpose You’re calling me to! (no matter how hard or unusual it may seem!) help me to live [for You] daily!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm‬ ‭28:7‬

Tomorrow?

no one is promised tomorrow, not a one! therefore, live for today! accept God’s blessings today! walk His will today! thank Him for today!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew‬ ‭6:34

This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms‬ ‭118:24‬
