(I found these wise words in my son’s math notebook)
someone asked me the other day why I liked math so much. I said it was because it is factual. the answer is always the answer. you don’t have to question it, when the answer is correct. (which is exactly what a rule-following girl like myself needs)
I have found though, that life is not as black and white as I would like. every problem is different dependent on the variables involved, which really means there are an infinite number of solutions to be had. BUT this is not justification to behave in a way contrary to what the bible teaches. it just means our problems have lessons within them to be learned and dealt with [fact] in a way that glorifies Him and matures us and above all else [fact] is solved in love!
I love what I read about math the other day… “the proof of the answers can be found within the problem!” and that is why math nerds can be so confident of their answers. solve your equations using the facts!
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV)
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8 NLT)
