I believe the attitude of our heart is what shines through the exterior. in the most difficult of times, I’ve seen people still have joy… that’s a great heartitude! I’ve seen great things happen to others and yet they find something to complain about … not so great heartitude. in all actuality, depending on your heartitude, joy can be found in every circumstance. this doesn’t mean we aren’t going to hurt, cry or even have feelings of anger, those are all normal, it’s just what you allow it to do to your heart. your heart muscle must be strong with “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” so bad circumstances can’t penetrate it!
Be thankful in all circumstances, (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT)
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT)
