Don’t Lie To Me

if there is one action I have zero tolerance for it’s lying. big ones, little ones, intentional or non-intentional. lies to make yourself look good or even lies that seem to protect you or someone you love. I like the way Billy Graham defines “a lie is anything contrary to the naked truth.” now, I’ve done my fair share (as I’m sure many of us have) but have also experienced first hand the anguish that results from even the most innocent of fibs. it is because of this experience I’ve developed an intolerance of lying. the truth of the matter is: lies hurt.

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices (Colossians 3:9 NIV)

  1. Here, Here sister!! I feel the same way you do. Trust, integrity, character its so very important. I have put such an emphasis on this in my parenting. Do unto others as you would have them do to you. Deception is a great word when using it in place of lying. You were deceiving me. We want to be the kind of women who raise children of trust, integrity and character!! And we expect to be treated in the same fashion.
