I love this saying, “Thoughts become Words, Words become Actions, Actions become Character, Character is Everything”
in everything we do and say we have a choice. when a not-so-great choice has been made, how many of us step back and think “what can I do better next time?”
when my kids were younger, they had a “better choice chair.” that chair was not only a place where they’d sit when they needed to think about their actions and come up with a better way of handling themselves, but it also was a reminder. a reminder that they do have a choice: beforehand!
how many of us could use a “better choice chair” as adults? a safe place to land. to sort our thoughts, hopes, desires, dreams, triumphs and failures? our thoughts become our character, let’s take some much needed solitude [daily], so we can make better choices right out of the gate.
You, Lord, are my choice, and I will obey you. (Psalms 119:57)
