I take this from a friend’s FB post as she and many other FB friends deal with the sudden death of a wonderful man:
“I have often wondered, if there is no sorrow in Heaven, do our loved ones who have died see us as we grieve at their passing? the only way I can reconcile this in my brain is to think, since time and space are earthly constructs, that our loved ones see us as we will be when we join them some day. for now, though, my heart hurts at the loss of a dear friend. This reminds me, yet again, to never miss an opportunity to hug and speak a kind word to those around us, we never know if it’s our last opportunity.”
thank you ninanursep for a theory of Heaven I’ve never thought of before but most importantly thank you for the reminder to love those around us!
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NIV)
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14 NIV)
It Shouldn’t Have To Be This Way
